Semolina Processing Plant & Machinery Solutions
Semolina is the coarse endosperm fraction recovered when durum or hard wheat is roller-milled, and a semolina plant exists to control its granulation. Milled stock is sifted and air-classified into coarse, medium and fine grades, roasted where rava is required, cooled and packed.
Complete Grain Process Flow
Conditioned wheat is scoured and reduced on rolls set to release granular endosperm rather than fine flour. Stock is lifted between passages for repeated sifting.
Milled stock is sifted across a stack of sieves so coarse, medium and fine semolina grades are separated cleanly. Granulation is the property buyers specify, so this stage governs the whole plant.
An air stream lifts bran flakes and germ away from the heavier semolina particles. Dust drawn off here is collected rather than released into the mill.
Where roasted rava is being made, semolina is passed through a roaster and then cooled before it is stored. Unroasted grades bypass this stage entirely.
Grades are blended to a consistent granulation and moved to silo storage by pneumatic and mechanical conveying.
Semolina is dosed by auger into pouches, bags or cartons, coded, weighed and checked for metal before despatch.
