Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) Batching Plant & Machinery Solutions
Ready-mix concrete (RMC) is batched at a central plant, where aggregate, sand, cement, fly ash, water and admixtures are weighed to a fixed recipe, mixed, and discharged into transit mixers for delivery to site.
Complete Process Flow
Coarse aggregate and sand are tipped into ground bins and drawn out below by feeders. An inclined belt lifts the material to the batching bins above the mixer.
Cement and fly ash arrive in bulk tankers and are blown into silos, then drawn to the weigh hopper by screw conveyor. Bagged binders can be added through a dump station where a silo is not used.
Each ingredient is weighed separately against the recipe, and the water added is corrected for the moisture already carried by the sand. Admixtures are dosed from holding tanks.
The weighed batch is discharged into the mixer and blended until the concrete is uniform through the load. Batch sequence, mixing time and discharge are handled from the plant control system.
Mixed concrete is discharged through a chute into a transit mixer, which keeps it turning on the way to site. Batch records are logged against each delivery.
Silo tops, weigh hoppers and the mixer are vented to collectors so that cement powder is not lost to the air. Wash water and settled solids from cleaning the mixer are collected separately.
