Dry Mix Mortar Plant & Machinery Solutions
Dry mix mortar production combines dried, graded sand with cement, lime, fillers and chemical additives into a single blended powder that is mixed with water on site. The sand is dried and screened, the ingredients are dosed by weight, blended dry and packed.
Complete Process Flow
Dry mix mortar cannot be made with damp sand, because the cement in the bag would begin to hydrate in storage. Washed sand is therefore dried before it enters the plant.
Dried sand is screened into narrow size fractions, which are stored separately so that each mortar grade can be built from the fractions it needs. Oversize is diverted out of the line.
Cement, lime and fillers are drawn from silos, while small-quantity additives such as cellulose ethers and polymer powders are added through a dump station. Every component is weighed before it reaches the mixer.
The weighed materials are blended dry until the additives, which make up only a small part of the batch, are spread through it. Mixing time and sequence are set from the control system.
Finished mortar is drawn from a holding bin into valve or open-mouth bags, closed, and coded with the batch details. Bags are stacked and wrapped for despatch.
Drying, screening, mixing and packing all release fine powder, so those points are kept under extraction. Recovered fines are returned to the process.
