Mono carton making converts printed duplex or folding box board into single-piece retail cartons through die cutting, stripping, creasing and folder-gluing.
Complete Mono Carton Process Flow
Printed board sheets arrive in stacks and are lifted and fed to the die cutter. Stack height and transfer between floors are handled on lifting and vertical conveying equipment.
Sheets are die cut to the carton profile, the waste is stripped out and the crease lines are formed. Board offcuts and fine dust leave the machine continuously and are extracted at the die and the stripping station.
Blanks are folded and side-seam glued into flat cartons. Each carton is checked for correct fold, glue line and print, and faulty ones are taken off the belt.
Flat cartons are counted into bundles and packed into unit and master cases for the customer's filling line.
Cases are palletised and wrapped for dispatch. Stripped board waste collected from the extraction system is shredded and baled for recycling.
The die cutting, folder-gluer and packing sections are sequenced and monitored from a single control point. Board dust drawn off the die cutter is collected centrally and filtered before the air is returned to the hall.
