Kraft paper is made from recovered paper and agricultural residue, which is pulped, refined, formed and dried into a strong brown paper, then reeled, rewound and slit to customer widths.
Complete Kraft Paper Process Flow
Baled recovered paper and agricultural residue are opened, sorted and fed towards the pulper. Wire, staples and other tramp metal are pulled out of the stream on the way in.
Cleaned fibre is held, agitated and metered forward, then formed into a continuous web on the paper machine. Our supply around this section covers the feed and reject conveying, stock tanks and plant-wide control rather than the machine itself.
The formed web passes over heated cylinders to drive off water. Steam, thermic fluid, cooling and heat recovery plant serve the drying section and the rest of the mill.
The boiler house and the dry end of the machine are fitted with extraction and scrubbing. Airborne fibre from the dry end and flue gas from the boiler house are drawn through scrubbing and filtration before venting.
The machine reel is rewound and slit into the widths the customer has ordered. Each finished reel is wrapped and labelled with its grade and order details.
Wrapped reels are moved from the rewinder to the reel store and then to the loading bay.
