Kitchen Towel Converting Plant & Machinery Solutions
Kitchen towel manufacture converts parent reels of absorbent tissue into perforated household rolls by rewinding, embossing, ply lamination and log sawing. Each log is cut into rolls, checked, then wrapped singly or in multi-roll packs.
Complete Kitchen Towel Process Flow
Parent reels and paper cores are held in the store and fed to the rewinder as the line calls for them.
Plies are laminated, embossed and perforated, then wound onto cores to form a log. Fibre released at the embossing and perforating stations is picked up at the machine hood and taken to a collector.
The wound log is sawn across into individual towel rolls. Saw dust and paper fluff are captured at the blade, and the cut rolls are carried away on accumulating conveyors.
Rolls are wrapped singly or grouped into multi-roll packs and sealed. Counted packs are then collected into larger bundles or bags for the trade.
Bundles are packed into cases, stacked onto pallets and wrapped. Pallets move to the dispatch bay on inclined and floor-level conveying.
Rejected rolls, tail ends and collected fibre are broken down and baled for return to the mill or sale to recyclers.
