Gasket manufacturing rolls compounded rubber, cork or fibre into sheet, cures the sheet, and then cuts gaskets to shape by die-cutting or punching before the edges are cleaned and the parts inspected.

How it works

Complete Gasket Process Flow

Filler Intake & Compound Mixing

Mineral fillers, fibre and process chemicals are tipped, sieved and blended with the rubber or binder into a sheeting compound. Sieving before mixing keeps lumps and foreign matter out of the sheet.

Sheeting & Calendering

The compound is rolled into continuous sheet of the required thickness, cooled and wound or stacked. Sheet gauge decided here governs how the gasket seats later, so the line runs at a steady take-off.

Curing & Utilities

Rubber-bonded sheet is cured under heat and pressure, drawing on the plant steam and cooling circuits.

Cutting & Punching

Gaskets are die-cut, punched or slit from the cured sheet to the drawing profile, including bolt holes. Dust and fine trim released at the cutting table are extracted so they do not settle on the cut faces.

Offcut Recovery & Inspection

The sheet skeleton left after cutting is collected and size-reduced so it can be routed back into suitable grades. Finished gaskets are checked for profile, hole positions and surface faults.

Counting, Kitting & Despatch

Gaskets are counted into sets or single part numbers, marked and packed into cartons for despatch.
