Coriander Processing Plant & Machinery Solutions
Coriander processing takes harvested coriander seed and turns it into cleaned whole seed, split coriander and ground coriander powder. Coriander seed is never boiled or cured; it is screened, de-stoned, graded and then either split for dal or milled to powder.
Complete Coriander Process Flow
Incoming seed is screened to take out straw, dust and undersize, then passed over a de-stoner and gravity separator so stones and light chaff leave the stream. Magnets catch tramp metal picked up during threshing and transport.
Cleaned seed is separated by size and the discoloured or immature grains are taken out optically. Grading keeps whole-seed lots uniform, which matters for buyers who sell coriander unmilled.
Part of the crop is split into halves for coriander dal and for easier milling. The loosened husk is drawn off by aspiration so it does not carry through to the mill.
Seed is milled to the required mesh and the sifter returns oversize to the mill until the whole batch passes. The powder is separated from the conveying air in a cyclone before it reaches the packing floor.
Whole, split and ground coriander are packed in bags or pouches, stitched or sealed, and batch coded.
